We are so excited to welcome our new pastor and his wife, Luis and Adrinna Beltre, who joined us August 5, 2023. We are blessed to have them with us and thankful that the Potomac Conference has made the Buena Vista SDA Church a one church district so Pastor Beltre will be our full-time pastor.
Pastor Luis was born in Puerto Rico, the first born in a pastoral family. From an early age he learned from his parents the meaning of servant leadership, the importance of spiritual guidance, empowering leaders and modeling Christ’s love for people. After experiencing a life changing conversion at the age of 18, he was taken under the wing of his youth pastor and became involved in youth ministry and music ministry. During this time he felt the call to ministry and attended Andrews University where he received a BA in Theology with emphasis in Youth ministry as well as a MA in Teaching with focus on Religion. During his 20 years of ministry, Pastor Luis has served as a Bible worker, Youth Pastor, Academy Chaplain, Religion Teacher, Missionary and Distric Pastor.
Along his journey he met the love of his life, Adrinna, whose education includes a BA in Religion, a BA in Spanish and a MA in Religion from Andrews University. Together they have become partners in ministry for nearly 17 years.
Pastor Luis enjoys playing the guitar and piano and often accompanies Adrinna who sings. He also enjoys implementing technology to enrich his sermon presentations. His mission is: “To live compassionately, love unconditionally, and serve others unreservedly in anticipation of Jesus’ soon return.”
